The train station and the English Riviera Centre are just a few minutes’ walk away, and a 15-minute walk will bring you to Castle Circus - the heart of Torquay's shopping area. The nearby promenade provides a lovely stroll along the water’s edge towards the harbour.

Breakfast is normally served from 08:30 to 09:15, but we are usually happy to provide earlier breakfasts if you need to make an early start. We offer a wide choice on our breakfast menu, so that you can eat as much or as little as you like and as healthily (or not!) as you like. All breakfasts are cooked freshly to order, using good quality, locally sourced produce.

Our 4-course evening meals are served at 18:30 and are bookable in advance or on a daily basis. We use an excellent local butcher for our meat, fish from Brixham docks and fresh vegetables are bought daily in order to provide tasty home cooked meals. Vegetarian options are available. Our extremely varied dessert menu includes a wide selection of home baked favourites.

The deluxe rooms have been fully refurbished in 2008. Standard rooms are clean and comfortable with new fully-tiled en suite shower rooms.

Area information

Mount Edgcombe is ideally situated, away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but within easy walking distance of the sea front, the Princess Theatre and other amenities. We can highly recommend our local restaurant, which is just 5 minutes walk down the road. Booking is sometimes advisable; let us do it for you. The Riviera Centre with its conference facilities, sporting activities and swimming pool is also just 5 minutes walk away.
The famous hamlet of Cockington is close by - a few minutes by car. But why not walk the lovely footpath from the seafront through the water meadows - a mile or so but well worth the effort. You could get the horse and carriage (or bus!) back.
